Our History: It Started In a Small, 2-Color Shop

Park Printing has come a long way in the last 40 years, from 2-color print film and plates to instant variable data printing. As in the print industry at large, change has been quick and constant. Perhaps just one thing has remained the same, and that is Park's focus on building great relationships with clients. It’s the way Bud wanted it.

Making Clients Happy

Bud Koloski purchased Park Printing when it was a fledgling one-room print shop with a few small presses and no prepress department. The small team sent out plates and film for developing. Bud’s plan for growth was simple: make clients happy. He loved people, and it showed in every interaction.

Branching Out

With a fresh prepress department, Park started branching out into different markets and purchasing new equipment to handle its expanding list of services.

Growth, Growth, Growth

Park doubled the size of its original building, began working with Target Corporation and used off-site kitting and fulfillment facilities. Tim and then Mike joined their dad’s growing business.

Breaking new ground

Park broke ground on a new 50,000-square-foot plant on a 3.5-acre site just blocks away from its original building in Northeast Minneapolis. Bud remained committed to keeping jobs and commerce in the neighborhood when many businesses were moving to the suburbs for cheaper land.

Expansion, And Family

Expanded kitting and fulfillment services plus additional state-of-the-art equipment pushed Park to expand its facility to 80,000 square feet. Tim’s son joined the business in 2013 and Mike’s son in 2019.
